4.3.14 - The show last night was great! Thanks to all the folks that packed the Boot and Saddle. Our Color Theory label-mates Lux Perpetua opened the show with tons of new material off their new record coming out MAY 29th at Johnny Brenda's -- mark your calendars, because we'll be playing it too. Birdie Busch's set was just as beautiful as ever! Still working hard to get these books finished for OUR RECORD RELEASE SHOW JULY 29TH!!! More info to follow...
3.23.14 - Rehearsal today for our show at R5's newest S. Philly gem the Boot & Saddle. We're busting out some brand new material, playing select tracks from Dress for Nasty Weather and of course paying tribute to the artist in all of us with the PEN PALS EP, now available on vinyl!
3.22.14 - The fabric covers for our limited edition 'Dress for Nasty Weather' book/album get screen printed today by artist Thomas Dean!
3.16.14 - After a year of discussions and decision making we are excited to announce that DFNW will be our first release on COLOR THEORY RECORDS. In a joint venture with LUX PERPETUA front man Justin Wolf, Color Theory Records is an independent label and collective based in Philadelphia PA. Our aim is to link musicians with shared resources to create limited edition packaging and other special projects while providing promotion, booking, and help with other special projects. Keep an eye out for a new website and, eventually, a physical distro!
3.15.14 - Lots of things to look forward this month. The vinyl order is underway and our records should be manufactured in 6-8 weeks. Artist Thomas Dean of Lost Woods Print will begin silk screening the front covers of our hand bound storybooks.
3.11.14 - Matt Gibson is 29! We surprised him while he was rehearsing with another Color Theory Record Collective member Lux Perpetua. Got tons of pizza from Franco Luigis and spent the night laughing and hanging out with his new baby girl Paz. Happy Birthday bud, dad of the year, bass player magazine cover story.
